Need advice on purchasing a set of golf clubs for my wife, what do you suggest?
Looking to replace my old wives irons and woods. It's a very good player, but still a high handicap. I know nothing about women's golf clubs and would appreciate the advice you might have.
I am a golfer who am LDM Driver and Cobra Cobra Woods 3 to 7 and 9 wood Lynx (love it). If it was done again, I would consider getting all the wood Lynx. My iron Lynx Tigress. Plates are heavy and I have a lot away.

Depending if she is uncomfortable with a heavy iron I suggest she gets a set with graphite shafts.
The irons with the graphite shafts should give her a quicker swing with longer distance on the ball.
Also include some hybrids in the set you are giving her.
golf clubs for women are just like getting clubs for men. first off consider her previous clubs , what kind they are and what she liked about them. also as we MATURE(not getting older) we tend to stiffen up our swing. this then requires us to look at the difference in flexibility in shafts. I personal like ping irons. they have sets based on how you golf. almost any country club should have a the sets for you to try so you can see which is best for you. if you don’t want to go to the whole set. there is a guy on main street in Palmyra pa by the name of T C Medford who makes custom clubs, His business is called “your golf connection” they cost a little more but its like having a sports car built just for you. every detail is based on your needs and no one else’s
New Inferno PETITE Complete Lady Golf Club Set with Stand Bag
My husband bought these for me as a starter set. Very nice clubs and bag. If you are under 5′4″ you will love these.
Currently, it is at an offer.
I am a new golfer and I have Cobra LDM Driver and Cobra Woods 3 – 7 and Lynx 9 wood (love it). If I had it to do over, I would consider getting all Lynx woods.
My irons are Lynx Tigress. They are heavy irons and I get a lot of distance.
The first thing to consider is your budget. Womens clubs are like mens. They range from basic, inexpensive beginners’ sets up through top of the line sets that will cost a bundle. Rather than buy her a set perhaps you should make a trip with her to a good golf store and let her try different sets for herself. This also applies to your other question asking about irons for yourself. The two of you could make a fun outing of it, hitting the golf retailers and trying out different sets together before deciding what to buy.
^ Good advice above ^ – make sure you find something within your budget that makes your wife feel comfortable and confident on the course.
One brand to look into is the Wilson Hope line. My sister-in-law purchased a complete set of these clubs at the beginning of this year, and while not yet ready to run off and join the LPGA, she’s become much more consistent. They’re not too expensive, either, which always helps:

Best of luck!
Brands: Besides the usual suspects (Adams, Callaway, Ping, Cobra, etc.) that make female-specific clubs, some other brands to consider that you probably don’t hear about often are:
Lady Fairway
Nancy Lopez Golf
Square Two
I don’t, however, know how good these clubs are. Good luck.
I would recommend letting her pick them out, unless you know her game that well, and her personnal choice.l
